I’m American and a native English speaker, and I’ve been living in London for the past two years. I have a strong academic background in psychology, having completed an MSc in Psychology at Queen Mary University of London last year, and I’m currently pursuing an MSc in Theoretical Psychoanalytic Studies at UCL.
I’m passionate about supporting children and their development, and I bring a calm, thoughtful, and warm approach to childcare. I’m very happy to follow each family’s preferences when it comes to activities — whether that’s home-based time such as reading, creative play, and homework support, or enriching outings like museum visits, walks, or creative classes, depending on what you feel is best for your child.
I’m flexible with days and hours, as my MSc classes are on Fridays and Saturdays. During term time, 12–15 hours per week works well for me, and I’m open to additional hours during the summer. I’d love to connect and see if I might be a good fit for your family.
My Experience
I have several years of experience supervising and supporting children in structured community settings. For five years, I consistently cared for children during church services, ensuring their safety while engaging them in age-appropriate activities and group play. I also worked for three years as a peer support worker in violence prevention initiatives, which helped develop my awareness of children’s emotional needs and the importance of calm, supportive communication.
Alongside my psychology background, this experience has shaped a patient, attentive approach to childcare. I’m comfortable supporting homework, reading, creative play, and positive after-school routines, and I value creating a safe and encouraging environment where children feel supported.
