My Experience

I have extensive experience caring for children of different ages, from young children to older school-aged children. I previously worked as a foster carer for many years, where I supported children with their daily routines, emotional needs, behaviour, and overall well-being. This role required patience, consistency, and a strong understanding of safeguarding and child development.

Alongside this, I have experience providing babysitting and childcare support for families, including supervising play, preparing meals, supporting bedtime routines, and ensuring children are safe, happy, and settled.

In my current role as a Teaching Assistant, I work closely with children, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN). This has strengthened my ability to recognise each child’s individual strengths and challenges, and to adapt my approach in a positive, supportive way to help them grow and develop with confidence.

I am confident managing responsibilities independently and adapting my care to suit each child’s individual needs and family expectations. My experience has helped me become calm, reliable, and attentive, and I take pride in offering children a safe, caring, and supportive environment.

My Qualifications

Although I do not hold formal childcare qualifications, I have over 10 years’ experience as a foster carer and backup foster carer, which has provided me with extensive practical knowledge and skills in caring for children. Through this role, I have developed a strong understanding of safeguarding, child wellbeing, and the importance of providing a safe, stable, and nurturing environment.

I have completed relevant training as part of my fostering role and have been actively involved in supporting children with daily routines, personal care, homework, and developing important life skills. I also have experience taking children to activities, appointments, and outings, ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times.

This hands-on experience has made me confident, responsible, and attentive, and I am committed to providing high-quality care tailored to each child’s individual needs.

My Availability

I’m a Teaching Assistant at a primary school, available afternoons and evenings during weekdays, with full flexibility on weekends. I’m currently seeking around 15–25 hours per week and am happy to discuss different schedules and arrangements with the right family. I’m committed, dependable, and able to provide consistent, reliable support.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £20.00 per hour

My fees are from £ 20 per hour, depending on the number of children, hours required, and specific responsibilities. I am happy to discuss individual arrangements and agree a suitable rate with families based on their needs.
