About Me
I am originally from Australia and moved to London 9 years ago. I'm the oldest of 3, and we grew up very much in the typical Australian way. On the beach, camping, and always outdoors. During childhood I took part in almost every sport/activity there is, and so in my adult life I very much value outdoor activities, health, fitness, and giving everything a go. I love tennis, running and swimming, engaging in nature and exploration. Equally I love reading, painting, writing and drawing. I value learning, discovery and creativity. I was brought up reading a lot, and I believe this formed the basis of my curiosity in the world as well as taught me how to be a good listener and communicator.
I worked in the fashion industry for a number of years, and recently had a career change into psychology. I completed my MSc in clinical psychology and am now undertaking my ProfDoc at City University London. I love children and have at various times in my career been involved in volunteer roles involving children of various ages and backgrounds. This, along with my stable loving and supportive upbringing, has enabled me to be kind, patient attentive and respectful in all aspects of my life; both personal and professional.
I am a very open honest and personable person, and my interest in psychology has enabled me to be a very supportive, empathetic and nurturing individual. I am very capable of connecting and communicating with people and children of all ages from varying backgrounds and situations.
My Experience
I nannied children ages 1-7 i all throughout my undergraduate degree and most recently been a in a long term nannying role with children aged 5 / 9.
I have had various volunteer roles with children educational environments both primary and secondary.
I have been involved in mentoring roles for children with learning difficulties and behavioural issues and have tutored extensively during the last 3 years in GCSE and A-Level English and English Literature.
I have taught swimming lessons and water safety to children ages 3-7.
My Qualifications
I have my DBS, safeguarding certificate, First aid certificate and have undertaken various courses and programmes in child safety and care.
I have a BA degree, Masters degree and DPsych
My Availability
3/4/5 days a week. Flexible depending on duration, amount and regularity.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £20.00 per hour
- Nannying from £25.00 per hour (gross)
I can be flexible depending on regularity, frequency, duration etc. Happy to negotiate if needed
