About Me
Hi, I’m Stacey!
I live with my partner and three children, and after having my youngest daughter, who is now one, I found myself thinking about what I wanted to do next. Starting my own childminding setting just felt like such a natural progression for me.
I’ve loved being a mum and experiencing those early years all over again, and I wanted to create a setting where children can feel happy, safe and loved while they learn, play and explore.
At The Little Miners, I want to provide a real home-from-home where children can be themselves, build confidence, develop their independence and learn through the things they naturally love doing.
I believe some of the best learning happens through play and real-life experiences - whether we're baking, getting creative, exploring the garden, reading stories, discovering nature or simply enjoying time together
I also love getting out and about, so we'll be making the most of the wonderful places we have around us! From adventures at Wheelgate and White Post Farm, to exploring the beautiful National Trust properties and outdoor spaces nearby, there will be plenty of opportunities to explore, discover and make memories!
Wrap-around care will also be available for children attending King Edwin Primary School, providing a warm and familiar home-from-home environment before and after school. Being situated on Mansfield Road in Edwinstowe, I’m just a short walk from the school, making those busy morning drop-offs and afternoon pick-ups that little bit easier for families.
As a mum myself, I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust completely with your little one. I hope to build strong relationships with the families I work with and make The Little Miners somewhere both children and parents feel comfortable and welcomed.
I’m so excited for this new chapter and can't wait to welcome my first Little Miners!
My Experience
I have previous experience working in my local primary school, supporting children with their learning and development. I have completed all the training and requirements needed to become a registered childminder and I am always looking to build on my knowledge. I enjoy planning fun activities and experiences that help children learn new things, develop their confidence and, most importantly, have fun.
My Qualifications
I have completed a range of training as part of becoming a registered childminder, including Introduction to the EYFS, Advanced Safeguarding and Designated Safeguarding Lead Level 3, Advanced Food Safety and Hygiene Level 3 and Common Core Skills and Knowledge Parts 1 and 2.
I have also completed training covering child development, the EYFS, supporting children's individual needs, language, physical, mathematical and personal, social and emotional development, as well as how children learn and develop through play and everyday experiences.
I am committed to continuing my training and keeping my knowledge up to date so I can provide the best possible care, learning and experiences for the children in my setting.
