Job Overview
We are seeking a live in caring and responsible Housekeeper/Nanny to provide some housekeeping and overflow child care help to a family with a 9 month old baby at evenings and weekends. This is a live in role, with a self contained bathroom, living room and bedroom provided. Shared use of home kitchen.
Hours of work are flexible, but around the basis of the below. This could suit someone studying or with another part time role.
Monday 7am - 11.30am 4.5 hours
Wednesday 4pm - 7.30 pm 3.5 hours
Thursday 4pm - 7.30pm 3.5 hours
Friday 4pm - 7.30pm 3.5 hours
Saturday 10am - 3pm 5 hours
20 hours
Ad hoc hours will additionally required once baby is in bed, to cover babysitting duties whilst Mum is out, and sometimes on other non working days and may require a flixible pattern. These will be agreed at least a week in advance and usually once a week.
Responsibilities
Assist with household chores, we have a weekly cleaner, so anything additional to help the upkeep of the home including washing up, washing and drying clothes, tidying up etc, and any other duties that may be relevant.
Look after baby with preparing food, bathing, dressing etc and during daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times and creating a fun environment.
Organise fun educational activities
Support baby with bathing, dressing, and toileting
Skills
Previous experience in a similar role
NVQ level 3/NNEB min requirement – but can be flexible if the nanny has lots of experience
Will need to pass advanced DBS check and provide personal and work references
Needs to drive and have own car
