My Summary
Australian Paediatric Nurse | Reliable, Warm, And Specialist Care
About Me
Hi, my name is Sara, am a 27 year old Australian Paediatric Registered Nurse. I have moved to the UK on a Working Holiday Visa to experience living life abroad and travel! I am passionate about newborn, child care, and working with families.
I am currently available from the 7th of September onwards.
My Experience
General Medical and Surgical Paediatric Ward
Special Care Nursery/Neonatal ICU
Paediatric Accident and Emergency
I have cared for children in a hospital setting, ranging in age from 0 to 18 years, from 2021 to 2024. This role involved supporting infants, children, teenagers, and their parents throughout their hospital experience in the ward, emergency department, and neonatal unit to recovery.
Maternity Nurse
March -May 2026
I have worked as a Maternity Nurse for a family with a first born for 3 months. In this role I helped support both parents with their baby. Working collaboratively with both parents we adjusted the newborns care to support his Laryngomalacia and manage his colic and reflux episodes. In this role I supported the parents in establishing a structured feeding and sleep routine. As a result the baby had positive improvements in sleep and weight gain (moving up 2 percentiles).
Other responsibilities in the role included working collaboratively with the parents, supporting growth and milestones, sterilising bottles, formula preparation and light house work.
Supporting the care of the family’s baby boy over the past three months has been a rewarding experience. I valued the opportunity to contribute to his wellbeing, observe his development, and build a positive and trusting relationship with the family.
Live-in & Live-out Nanny
May- June 2024 & May - September 2025
I have worked as a live-in nanny with a family in Sardinia from May - June 2024. In this role, I cared for the children aged 4(m), 8(f) and 10(m) years. I also worked in London as a live-out nanny between May - September 2025. In this role I cared for two boys aged 9 months and 15 months.
Between both roles my responsibilities included taking the children to and from school, summer camp, and swimming lessons, preparing breakfast, lunches, and dinners, bottle sterilisation, outdoor/indoor play, behaviour management, sleeping/nap routines and help with homework. I also housekept with laundry, cleaning, preparing for the next day, and ensuring their rooms remained tidy and organised. I focused on encouraging the children and babies to meet their developmental milestones through diet, play, behaviour, language, stimulation and learning and refining fine/gross motor skills

We were Sara’s first family in her capacity as a Maternity Nurse. She grew into her role looking after
our newborn son. Our role was challenging and Sara was thrown into the deep end - Not only was our
son going through a fussy growth spurt, he didn’t have a solid sleep-feed routine and had
laryngomalacia, impacting his breathing; she also had to deal with two severely sleep-deprived first
time parents who were anxious. But she took the challenge head-on, with a calm and gentle approach,
which helped reduce the tense energy that was previously in the house.
Over the course of the term, Sara translated her formal medical training to fit our situation well. She
became unphased to our son’s intense cries and was also able to distinguish between the different
types of crying. Knowing the importance of sleep, she safeguarded his naps with selfless contact
napping, multiple times a day, in order to prevent overtiredness. I will always remember how she
helped our baby get over the dreaded nappy change routine and how he now always smiles at her
proudly when we would change him, reducing the stress associated with that task.
Always punctual and polite, her professionalism was boosted by her genuine interest in the best
outcomes for our son. Even when new issues arose, like drool rash, we felt more capable of coming up
with solutions to solve them. We cannot overestimate Sara’s ability to constantly evolve and adapt to
new situations. It is one of her core strengths. Our role was not an easy one, but she was able to handle
each problem effectively. We are more than happy to recommend Sara to anyone else looking for a
reliable and passionate individual, able to handle tough situations.
It is the combination of her positive easy-going personality, light-hearted energy as well as the pride
she takes in her work, that allows her to excel at the full range of tasks big and small, complex and
simple. Crucially, her unique approach helps her see the best in things and people, providing her with
the grit, patience and endurance that is so vital when interacting with babies and struggling adults
alike.
Sara, thank you for loving our boy. His social smiling was made brighter, thanks to your help and sincere
affection. Despite his slightly shaky start, his development was put on the right track, which has
improved his health and has given back our confidence as parents. We wish you all the best in your
career and we feel content knowing good karma will follow you wherever you go. Thank you.
