Nanny / Mother’s Helper (Newborn) – Ealing
We’re looking for a warm, cheerful nanny to join us in early September 2026, taking over from our post-partum nanny after the arrival of our first baby at the end of July.e
We’re based in a two-bedroom flat in Ealing, West London, conveniently located between Ealing Broadway and Ealing Common tube stations.
About the role
This is a flexible position, ideally 4–5 days per week, with working hours broadly around 8am–5pm (although we’re happy to discuss different arrangements for the right person).
We’re looking for someone who can commit for a minimum of three months, with the possibility of extending to twelve months if it’s a great fit for everyone.
This isn’t a traditional sole-charge nanny position as Mom will usually be at home and Dad will also be taking paternity leave later this year. You'll be working alongside us and providing an extra pair of hands as we settle into life with a new baby. Especially in the early months, it would be unusual for you to be left alone with the baby for more than an hour or two at a time. We’re hoping to find someone who enjoys working alongside parents in a collaborative way.
The role includes:
Caring for our newborn while Mom rests, exercises or attends appointments
Joining us on local outings (parks, walks, swimming lessons, baby classes, etc.)
Light baby-related household tasks (baby laundry, bottles, tidying the nursery)
Helping to create a calm, joyful and low-stress environment during our baby’s first year
There may occasionally be opportunities to travel with us within the UK or abroad for business or leisure. Any travel would always be discussed in advance and compensated separately.
About us
Dad is British (Scottish/Korean) and works in banking in Canary Wharf.
Mom is American (Taiwanese/Filipina) and previously worked in education technology. She’ll be spending most of her time with the baby during the first year, while continuing to work on a few personal and business projects on a flexible basis.
Before settling in London, we both spent many years living and working across Asia, including Hong Kong, Singapore and Taipei, and we’d love our child to grow up in a warm, curious and internationally minded environment.
While we don’t currently live together, we’re co-parenting closely. You’ll primarily be working with Mom and the baby on a day-to-day basis, with Dad spending regular time with the family around work.
Who we’re looking for
For us, personality is every bit as important as experience.
We’re looking for someone who is:
Warm, cheerful and kind
Calm and confident around babies
Reliable and proactive
Happy working alongside parents rather than independently
Looking to become a trusted part of our family’s life during our baby's first year
Previous newborn experience is certainly welcome, but we’re equally interested in finding someone with the right attitude, energy and common sense.
Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
A current DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) is required, as well as prior references.
We offer competitive pay, depending on experience and the agreed working arrangement.
Interested?
Please send us a message introducing yourself, including:
A little about your background
Your experience with babies or young children
Your preferred working pattern
Your expected rate of pay
Anything else you’d like us to know
We’d love to hear from you.
(Note that we will keep this listing open while we welcome our new arrival. Our response times may therefore be slower than usual! We expect to begin reviewing applications and contacting shortlisted candidates in mid-August. Thank you for your patience.)
