About Me
Hi, I’m Layla. I live with my partner Shaun and our three children, Jack, Tabitha and Karl. Jack is 19 so he does his own thing, and Tabitha is 14 and pretty independent now too ? so the childcare I’m looking for is mainly for Karl who is 9.
Karl is autistic with a PDA profile. He’s funny, loving, cheeky and very chatty once he gets to know you, but it can take him a little while to feel comfortable with someone new.
We’re quite a busy, laid-back family and our house is definitely never boring ? We also have a dog who is very much part of the family. I’m just looking for someone kind, friendly and reliable who will fit in with us and hopefully become someone Karl feels really comfortable with.
My Requirements
I’m mainly looking for someone to just make life a bit easier for me on the days I’m working.
In the mornings Karl will already be up, dressed and had his breakfast before I leave. He’ll just need someone to make sure he brushes his teeth, gets his shoes on and is ready for his school taxi which normally comes around 8:30.
Once he’s gone to school, if possible I’d like someone to take the dog for a walk, do a few bits around the house and maybe prep dinner ready for later. Not actually cook dinner, just things like getting everything ready so it’s one less thing for me to do when I get home ?
Then I’d need someone back before Karl gets dropped home from school, get him a snack and just keep him occupied and happy until I get home around 5.
I’m basically looking for a bit of a nanny/mum helper really ? Someone who can help with Karl but also just help me keep on top of things at home and make my life that little bit easier.
