Childminder in Largs
My Summary
About Me
Hello — I'm Victoria. Thank you for your interest in Largs Little Learners. I'm so pleased you're considering my family home for your child's care.
I grew up in Largs, surrounded by childcare — my mum was a nursery nurse at St Mary's Nursery in town, and from the age of 16 I was doing work experience alongside her. It's always been in the family, and it's always been what I love. I went on to study BSc Psychology at Stirling University, and over the years I've built up experience across a range of childcare and support settings.
When I returned to work after maternity leave, I found the prospect of childcare daunting — I worried Rosa wouldn't be cared for the way I could care for her. So I truly understand how emotional that decision can feel. That experience drives everything I do here: settling in gently, building trust at your child's pace, and creating an environment I would be 100% happy leaving Rosa in.
I truly want to create a home from home — and that means stories on my knee, cuddles on the sofa, and little ones who just want to be carried for a bit getting exactly that. And when the harder moments come, whether that's settling in, missing mum, or just having an off day, I'm right there. A proper hug, unhurried and without judgement, for as long as they need it. Children here are never just managed through their emotions — they're held through them.
