About Me
Hello, my name is Mahima and I am an Ofsted-registered childminder based in South Harrow, just a few minutes’ walk from the tube station, major bus routes, local shops, and cafés.
I provide a safe, warm, and welcoming home-from-home environment where children feel secure, valued, and supported to learn and develop at their own pace. I offer a balanced routine that nurtures children’s emotional wellbeing, builds independence, and supports early learning in a calm and caring setting.
We will be out and about every day, making full use of local resources to enrich children’s experiences. Our regular outings will include visits to local parks and playgrounds, the library, playgroups, and child-friendly shops. These real-life experiences help children develop confidence, social skills, physical coordination, and an understanding of the world around them.
I plan to open from April and am now looking forward to connecting with families and welcoming children into my setting.
My Experience
I have over 10 years of professional experience in the finance sector, which has helped me develop strong organisational skills, reliability and a high level of professionalism.
Alongside this, I bring over 17 years of hands-on parenting experience as a mother, supporting my own children through their early years and beyond. This has given me a deep understanding of children’s needs, routines, emotional development and the importance of providing consistent, nurturing care.
After careful consideration, I decided to change my career to childcare as I have a genuine passion for working with young children and supporting families. As a parent myself, I fully understand how important it is to trust the person caring for your child.

Level 3 Childcare Qualification
Paediatric First Aid
Safeguarding Children Training
Food Hygiene Certificate
DBS Checked (myself and household member)
Committed to ongoing professional development
My Availability
I offer full-day childcare from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday.
I currently have spaces for children under 3 years.
To support children’s settling and development, I require a minimum of 2 days per week.
Please note that I have a pre-booked family holiday from 8th July to 23rd August this year. This will be clearly reflected in contracts, giving families plenty of notice to make alternative arrangements if needed.
I usually do not work on weekends or bank holidays. However, if childcare is needed on a bank holiday, this can be arranged at double the standard rate, with plenty of notice.
I am currently looking for families who would like to secure a place to start from April and am happy to discuss individual needs, routines and settling-in arrangements.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £20.00 per hour
- Childminding from £10.00 per hour
Full day: £100
Half day: £100
