About Me
Hello, my name is Mahima and I am an Ofsted-registered childminder based in South Harrow, just a few minutes’ walk from the tube station, major bus routes, local shops, and cafés.
I provide a safe, warm, and welcoming home-from-home environment where children feel secure, valued, and supported to learn and develop at their own pace. My aim is to create a calm and nurturing space that supports children’s emotional wellbeing, builds independence, and encourages curiosity through play and exploration.
Each day includes a balanced routine of play, learning, and rest. We will be out and about regularly, making full use of local resources to enrich children’s experiences. Our outings will include visits to local parks and playgrounds, the library, playgroups, and child-friendly shops. These real-life experiences help children build confidence, develop social skills, improve coordination, and learn about the world around them.
Being of Sri Lankan origin, I value diversity and enjoy helping children grow up in an environment that celebrates different cultures and traditions.
I will have limited spaces available for children under 2 from September, so please feel free to get in touch if you would like more information or to arrange a visit.
My Experience
I have over 10 years of professional experience in the finance sector, which has helped me develop strong organizational skills, reliability and a high level of professionalism.
Alongside this, I bring over 17 years of hands-on parenting experience as a mother, supporting my own children through their early years and beyond. This has given me a deep understanding of children’s needs, routines, emotional development and the importance of providing consistent, nurturing care.

DBS Checked (myself and household member)
Committed to ongoing professional development
My Availability
• Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 6:00 pm
• Limited spaces available for children under 3
• Minimum 2 days per week
I usually do not work weekends or bank holidays. Bank holiday childcare may be available with advance notice at double rate.
I am currently welcoming families who would like to secure a place from September and am happy to discuss individual needs, routines, and settling-in arrangements.
My Fees
- Childminding from £10.00 per hour
Full day: £100
