About Me
Hello. I grew up in hertfordshire in a small village with lots of open Spaces and fields and moved to Cambridge about 2 years ago. From that I can understand the importance of fresh air and spending time outside in nature. I studied art and music in college and left with a diploma in each. I play multiple instruments at an intermidiete level such as guitar, piano and drums. I sing alot and can play and sing songs for the children along with helping them with any kind of instrument they are learning. I can pick up on things very quick especially in music! I love art and creative writing. I write lots of poetry and short stories which I would always be happy to introduce to them also. I am currently teaching myself sign language so would encorporate small simple signs into our day to day, for example 'hello my name is' 'how are you today' 'I am ... years old'. I believe these activities are so inriching and can spark a passion that can last a lifetime, just like it did for me! I am 18 years old and currently just starting up a clothing buisness that I am working on and hoping to build up in the future. I love fashion and photography and would never say no to a dress up party! I also love nature and animals just as much as staying inside and cozying up Infront of a movie. I can cook and bake well ever since my mother taught me when I was a child. I am the youngest of 3 siblings and have a great relationship with my family. I am friendly and chatty and can get along with almost anyone very quickly!
My Experience
I volunteered at a forest school in Hertfordshire when I was 16. I was there for about 6 months. I was there primarily as a friend for the children. I helped them with planned activities such as walks, tree house building and crafts. I read books to them, helped at meal times, clean ups and joined in with there games. The children I worked with where aged about 3-8 years old. Including a young child who had learning disabilities who was non-verbal and primarily comunicated in sign, he took quite a liking to me actually! I remember when I showed up in the mornings the children would run up and surround me before pulling me across the forest to join in there game! It was a very special experience for me working with those children.
My Qualifications
Although I don't have any childcare qualifications I have a diploma in both art and music and have experience working with and being around children.
My Availability
Afternoons work best for me although I am flexible. I have a singing lesson on Wednesdays at 6.30pm every other week and a production lesson at 6.40 every other week aswell. I am also just beingning to take driving lessons which will last one hour once per week. I am unsure of what day and time this will be but can let you know when I know. My instructor is flexible with hours so can work around your schedule. I have selected all available times of the day that I am free but am looking for part time, please keep that in mind.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £13.00 per hour
- Nannying from £13.00 per hour (gross)
I am not particular about fees, happy to discuss that aspect with you personally and work around your own personal rates. The answers i have below are my minimum.
