Hello.
My name is Samantha -Sam for short.
I am 41 years and old looking to work as a nanny/parent help When my current job comes to an end at the end of June . I Will be available to start in August
I am married and we have a son who's 3 years old. At home we have a dog, guinea pig, fish and shrimp so not worried about household pets. our house can be a little crazy at times.
I love animals and have previously ( many years ago) worked in the equestrian field as a helper at the local riding school and rda. I studied at bishop Burton and have a national diploma in horse care.
I am friendly , down to earth and fairly flexible with hours and days. I am reliable, fair but firm , approachable and pride myself on time keeping within tight timescales.
I've been in my current job for 11 years with the same family . They are amazing and I will be sad to leave them but the time has come they no longer need me.
I enjoy working with children and have been working with children for over 20 years both in a nursery and later as a nanny for almost 20 years.
My hobbies include going out to fun places for days out with my family. I enjoy eating at different restaurants and reading.
I have my own car and clean driving licence.
My Experience
I have over 20 years experience working with children, first in a nursery and then a nanny since 2007. I am qualified to level 2, DSB checked. ( Probably both rather dated qualifications by now but Willing to learn and get a new DSB check). I have a clean driving license and my own car which is insured for business use ( for travelling with children)
My son was a premature baby born at 29 weeks and so I have newborn experience with my own child. Most of The children I have worked with recently have been older but I have worked in the baby room and 2 year room at the nursery many years ago.
In my role as a nanny I have had sole charge of children for the majority of the day including over nights and weekends.
Duities included:
. Sole child care for up to 3 children in the family ( more when friends are over)
. cooking basic meals
. Very basic House cleaning duties
. Family laundry/ ironing
. trips out both educational and fun
. Basic interaction with schools and pick up drop offs and some meetings
. arranging play dates
.Taking to social play events /clubs
. taking swimming and also going swimming with younger children
. Very basic homework help
.taking and driving to and from clubs.
I do a lot of driving to and from clubs and help arrange these with people directly
My Qualifications
Level 2 child care
20+ years experience in childcare
DSB check (likey out of date and in maiden name )
National diploma in horse care ( years ago)
Clean driving license ( including business insurance to transport children)
My Availability
I am flexible but will need notice or a schedule as have my 3 year old son to think of. Weekends and overnight would be dependant on my husbands shifts he works 4 on 4 off . I can start from August but ideally beginning of September. My job finishes end of June.
My Fees
- Nannying from £12.71 per hour (gross)
- Babysitting from £12.71 per hour
Depending on hours.
