My Experience

I previously ran two successful registered childminding settings in both England (Ofsted) and Scotland (Care Inspectorate), which has given me extensive knowledge of childcare standards, safeguarding, and early years development. I now bring that same high level of professionalism, organisation and care into a family home as a dedicated nanny.

From January 2023 to April 2025, I worked as a Care Inspectorate registered childminder, specialising in preparing early years children for school. I focused on supporting developmental milestones, early literacy and numeracy skills, confidence building, and learning through structured play. Prior to this, from January 2021 to September 2022, I operated as an Ofsted-registered childminder in England with the same focus on school readiness and holistic development.

My experience includes:
Planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities tailored to each child’s developmental stage
Supporting children with a range of behavioural and neurological needs, including SPLDs and autism
Writing and implementing policies and risk assessments to ensure children’s safety at all times
Preparing nutritious meals in line with food hygiene standards
Maintaining detailed daily observations and providing clear communication and handovers to parents

In a nanny role, I prioritise building strong, trusting relationships with both children and parents. I provide consistent routines, positive behaviour support, and stimulating activities that encourage independence and confidence. I also enjoy spending time outdoors, going on walks, and incorporating nature-based learning where possible.

I bring the structure, organisation and professionalism of a registered setting, combined with the warmth and flexibility of in-home nanny care. My goal is always to create a calm, happy environment where children feel secure, supported and excited to learn.
