I am an Assistant Case Manager for Chrysalis Case Management Ltd, supporting brain injured clients.

We are seeking a reliable and experienced childcare worker/nanny to assist a brain-injured client in spending quality time with his 5-year-old son, who may have Autism.

Our client is able to care for his son independently in many areas, including playing games and with toys, toileting and preparing snacks, but requires a supportive presence to assist when needed and to help ensure sessions run smoothly and safely.

Key Details:

Schedule: Every other Sunday
Hours: 10:30am – 2:30pm (4 hours per session)
Pay: £30 per hour
Location: near Beverley, East Yorkshire
Flexibility required, with potential for additional hours during school holidays

Responsibilities:

Accompany the client and his support worker to collect the child from his mother’s home in Hull
Support the client during contact sessions in his home
Assist with activities and outings where appropriate
Provide reassurance and practical support when needed
The child’s mother will collect him from the client’s home at the end of each session.

Requirements:

Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
Confident, calm, and supportive approach
Ability to work collaboratively with both the client and existing support team
DBS certificate

This is a rewarding opportunity to support meaningful family time in a structured and supportive environment.

Desirable (nice-to-haves):

Safeguarding/first aid training.
Experience supporting contact arrangements or working with separated families.
