About Me
Hi. I'm Emily! I am a passionate and motivated Gap Year Student working at a prep school in Cambridge, where I work with children aged between 5-13. I am really enjoying working with the different age groups, and it is preparing me well for when I go to university next academic year to study Primary Education.
My main hobbies are reading, creative writing, playing the piano and clarinet and nature/wildlife (particularly birds!) I would feel comfortable with household pets of all kinds.
My Experience
I have been babysitting for a 7 year old boy after school on Wednesday evenings since September. I have learnt how to plan activities, games and crafts appropriate for his age, as well as preparing his dinner for him and I. Together we have played games like Exploding Kittens and Katamino, made mug coasters and baked and decorated cupcakes
During February half term, I am starting child minding for a 14 year old girl, where I will be helping her revise for her upcoming Religious Studies GCSE, as well as cooking lunch for her and her 2 younger siblings.
My Qualifications
I have achieved my GCSEs and Alevels in Spanish, English Language and Geography.
I also have certificates for Grade 8 Piano and Grade 6 clarinet.
I have completed Bronze and Silver Duke of Edinburgh awards
My Availability
I am available for evening work on Monday and Friday evenings from around 6pm, as well as weekends during term time. During school holidays I am a lot more flexible and can even stay overnight if needed.
