About Me
I am a local resident, retired headteacher and teacher with thirty years’ experience of teaching in primary education mainly across Key Stage 2. I am a dedicated professional who believes that every child has the right to fulfil their potential. As an experienced tutor I like to build a positive relationship with the children I work with and have a systematic approach in delivering high quality learning.
My Experience
I have worked with several children in the local area who had a wide range of ability levels including those who may find learning difficult to those who need that extra push. The most important part of my teaching is finding the way that develops a secure understanding of how to get the best from each child that I work with regardless of ability. I always strive to make learning fun and have successfully prepared children for KS 2 SATS and 11+ Entrance Exams. My experience as both a teacher and a senior leader (including the past twelve years in headship) has afforded me the opportunity to understand what it means for children to meet their full potential but also to have the right feel successful.
