My Experience

I bring valuable hands-on experience to my childminding setting as a parent to two children, aged 7 and 3, and through six years working in a school as a SEND Teaching Assistant. My background has given me a deep understanding of individual needs, inclusive practice, and supporting children’s emotional and developmental growth.

My Qualifications

I am committed to providing high?quality, knowledgeable care, supported by a strong foundation of early years training. My qualifications include:

• Level 2 Certificate in Caring for Children – covering child development, safety, play, and wellbeing.
• Level 2 Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning – experience in classroom practice, learning support, and child?centred approaches.
• Level 2 Understanding Autism – knowledge of neurodiversity, communication differences, and inclusive support strategies.
• Level 2 Understanding Behaviour That Challenges – positive behaviour approaches rooted in empathy, consistency, and understanding underlying needs.
• Introductory Childminding Training Course – covering safeguarding, EYFS, policies, and professional responsibilities.
• Early Years Development Training – supporting children’s learning through play, exploration, and developmental milestones.
• Paediatric First Aid (12 hour) – ensuring I can respond confidently and safely in emergencies.
