About Me
Hello! Welcome to my new venture, Penguins Childminding.
I am Marie and I live with my husband, two grown up sons and our two cats, Blingo and Boo. We have lived in Carlton for over 20 years.
My vision is to provide a caring and nurturing environment, where children feel safe, confident and excited to explore the world around them.
Being a mum I provide a calm and positive manner in a home from home environment. I also have a new bespoke playroom leading into our lovely garden.
Children thrive in a daily routine, which includes meal-times, rest-times, planned activities aligned with EYFS, free play and daily fresh air. Regular visits to the local parks, soft play and playgroups is a must!
I hold a full UK driving licence but love to walk when I can. I have my certificates all up to date and personal references.

My Experience
My Early Years experience is over 30 years working in a variety of settings/roles, including Nursery Manager. I have now made the jump to start my exciting new independent venture as a Childminder. I provide a daily routine which is important for children's development. Activities I plan are based on the EYFS and Every Child Matters. The activities are often changed by the children which is exciting to see their ideas evolve.
As a mum I provide my sons with freshly prepared meals, which the children can help prepare. Such as home-made pizza, soup, bread and cakes. I enjoy teaching children about festivals and have celebrated these in the nursery.

* OFSTED registered *NNEB * EYFS * Paediatric First Aid * Safeguard DSL *Enhanced DBS [ every family member]
My Availability
Mon- Thurs 7.30am- 5.30pm or Tues-Fri 7.30am-5.30pm
My Fees
- Childminding from £6.00 per hour
£6 per hour.

Me and my husband visited Marie when checking out childcare options for our baby. We were very impressed with Marie’s set up - it was very clean, well equipped and Marie had planned everything right down to menus and a new dedicated playroom. What stood out even more was how Marie interacted with our son and made an effort to get to know his personality and interests even in the initial visit. Although we decided a nursery was right for us due to our scheduling needs, we agreed that if we were to go with a childminder it would definitely be Marie.
