About Me

My name is Katherine and I live with my partner, 5 year old daughter and 2 cats. I work full time in IT Management for a finance company and work remotely most of the time with occasional travel. My partner is a qualified Electrician. In my spare time I enjoy cake decorating and baking as time allows, have attended tutorials from time to time and make cakes for my daughter's birthday.

My Requirements

Registered Childminder

I am looking for a childminder that could offer ad hoc school holiday cover (8am-6pm).

For those that only have ad hoc school holiday spaces reserved for parents that also use wraparound care. I would be happy to extend our requirements to one day per week wraparound care during term time (close to Castle Hill Primary school) in addition to ad hoc school holidays.

Preferred days during school holidays, would be some Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Though this can be flexible and include alternative days - eg Mondays and Wednesdays for the right childminder.

I'm looking for a childminder with experience of working with children with additional needs (Autism - low needs and/or ADHD).

Not currently seeking a nanny or babysitter.

A perfect home from home environment.

When I first met Dawn at Cabin Cubs Childminding, I was really impressed by how thorough and professional Dawn was. Dawn took the time to discuss my child’s individual needs in detail, clearly explained what a typical day would look like, and answered all of my questions. Dawn came across as incredibly warm and welcoming, with a wealth of childcare experience that immediately put me at ease.

Cabin Cubs Childminding has a purpose‑built cabin at the bottom of the garden which is beautifully designed and provides a real home‑from‑home environment. My child settled into the setting very quickly and is always excited to go back.

My child absolutely loves the engaging activities Dawn plans and often comes home with lovely creations, most recently an Easter bonnet.
My child also enjoys local outings to places such as the library and the park, which add even more variety and enrichment to the day.

I would highly recommend Cabin Cubs Childminding to others looking for a caring, professional, and engaging childcare setting
