About Me
Hi, I'm May. I have been working in childcare for the past 1 year and 7 months and also gained experience through babysitting before starting my role in a nursery setting. During this time, I have worked with children aged 9 months to 11 years, supporting their development through a range of activities and learning experiences.
I also have experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and am currently completing my Level 2 qualification in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). In addition, I hold a qualification in Basic British Sign Language (BSL).
I am passionate about working with children because every day brings something new. Whether it's a calm day filled with creative activities or an exciting day of exploration and play, children are constantly learning, developing new skills, and discovering the world around them. Their curiosity, enthusiasm, and unique perspectives make childcare an incredibly rewarding career. While we help children learn and grow, they also teach us valuable lessons through their honesty, imagination, and sense of wonder. I find it a privilege to be part of their development and to support them as they build confidence, skills, and independence.
My Experience
I have a year and 4 months experience in a nursery setting working with children aged 9 months to 4 years. I also have a year and 7 months experience in a primary school setting working with children aged 4 to 11 years. I also occasionally babysit for family’s I worked with at the primary school.
My Qualifications
I currently have a qualification in basic British sign language and will be finishing my level 2 on special educational needs and disabilities at the end of June 2026. I have my paediatric.and adult first aid as well as a current DBS
My Availability
I am currently working on a term time contract meaning durning school hours I am only available mornings until 1pm and evenings after 6pm. On weekends, half terms, and school holidays I have full availability during the day and evenings.

- Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
