My Requirements

We are looking for an experienced , dbs checked, special needs/ team teach or similar trained helper/ assistant /carer to support a fantastic 19 year old who is fully mobile and verbal and has complex learning disabilities and a much younger, early years developmental age. He has a great sense of humour and loves music, swimming, going to the gym (pool and gym membership) reading, going out to cafes, going shopping and his computer. He also enjoys bowling and trampolining. The right person must be used to working with young people with learning disabilities as he does not understand danger (no road danger or stranger danger awareness);his understanding does not match his speech and he needs constant and full support in all areas and to stay safe. The right person needs to be fit, fun, creative and motivated. Please note the family has small, friendly dogs so would not suit someone with an allergy/ who does not like dogs etc. We are looking for someone who could do any or all of the following;- Wednesday mornings and/ or afternoons on a short to mid term basis; Saturday mornings and/ or afternoons and Sunday mornings and/ or afternoons. We would also like some ad hoc early evening cover.
