About Me
Hi! my name is Lola, I grew up in a family home with many pets over the years!
I've always been a very caring and compassionate person and have loved looking after people from a young age.
Growing up, I was a young carer for my sister, which helped me become the patient, calm and understanding person I am today. I wouldn't have changed it for the world, as this role was extremely rewarding.
I've always had a real passion for childcare and working with children. when I was 15, I had the opportunity to become a children's party entertainer with an amazing company that educates children about animals, allowing them to meet all types of exotic animals. I absolutely loved it!
I am definitely someone who is extremely passionate about animals, and making people smile. so it really was the perfect job for me.
I continued doing that job on the weekends alongside working as a nanny Monday- Friday for 4 years! allowing me to gain lots of experience with children of different ages, needs, and personalities.
Outside of childcare, one of my biggest passions is performing. I'm a singer/songwriter and love writing songs, singing and generally being creative.
I've lived in Hertfordshire, England my whole life, but recently made the exciting move to Glasgow to start a new chapter with my partner.
I'm a very sociable, positive and easy-going person, and I love meeting new people, trying new things and making the most of every opportunity!
My Experience
I've looked after many children, aging between 2-11yrs.
my responsibilities while looking after 7 and 10 year old brothers included-
school pick up, walking home with the children, or taking them to various clubs after school.
homework help, I would turn into the best teacher I could when homework help was needed.
Making fun and educational outdoor and indoor activities. If they needed a third player for their garden football match, I'd fill in! or even a sous chef to help out with a baking session!
preparing nutritional and balanced warm meals ( hoping they'd like it better than their school dinners! )
settling for bedtime, Making sure teeth were brushed, and they were all tucked in...or "Tutankhamuned" as they would say! ready for a story time from me, or a book!
I've been looking after children for 4 years.
My Qualifications
I have gained valuable practical experience through my 4 years of babysitting and nannying, as well as working as a professional children’s entertainer.
I have safeguarding training as well as paediatric first aid training, and hold a DBS check.
My Availability
I am currently available Monday- Friday (morning/afternoon/evening.)
My Fees
- Babysitting from £14.00 per hour
My fees are based on an hourly rate, I am happy to discuss rates with families to ensure they are fair and suitable for both parties!
