Ronnie
Babysitter in Sittingbourne
My Summary
About Me
Hi! I’m a warm, reliable and patient babysitter with hands-on experience caring for children from 6 months to 14 years old through my au pair work. I’m confident with feeding, naps, school runs, homework help, bedtime routines, and keeping little ones engaged with fun, age-appropriate activities.
I also have experience supporting autistic adults, which has helped me develop a calm, understanding and adaptable approach to care. I’m attentive to individual needs and always aim to create a safe, supportive environment where children feel comfortable and happy.
My Experience
I have over 6 years of experience working in care and with children. I worked as an au pair where I cared for children aged 6 months to 14 years old. My responsibilities included bottle feeding, weaning support, changing nappies, managing nap routines, school and nursery runs, homework help, organising activities, preparing meals, bath time and bedtime routines. I’m confident managing multiple children at once and adapting to different ages and personalities.
Alongside this, I have professional experience supporting autistic adults, which has strengthened my understanding of additional needs, communication differences and sensory sensitivities. I am patient, calm under pressure and always approach care in a supportive, person-centred way.
I also previously worked for Kent County Council (KCC) as a Case Officer, where I developed strong organisational skills, safeguarding awareness, attention to detail and professionalism. This role required responsibility, confidentiality and working closely with families and professionals, which I believe transfers well into childcare.
Overall, I am reliable, nurturing and safety-focused, and I always aim to create a structured but fun environment where children feel secure and supported.
My Qualifications
I hold an American Red Cross First Aid certification for both adults and children, giving me the knowledge and confidence to respond calmly and appropriately in emergency situations. I successfully completed a 2-year Au Pair programme in the USA, where I gained extensive hands-on experience caring for children aged 6 months to 14 years old.
I currently hold an enhanced DBS check. I also have previous professional experience working with families through my role at Kent County Council (KCC), which strengthened my safeguarding awareness, confidentiality, and professional standards.
I am committed to providing safe, attentive, and high-quality care at all times.
My Availability
I currently work as a Senior Support Worker in a children’s residential home on a rota basis, usually working 3–4 days a week. Because my shifts vary, I can’t guarantee the same days every week.
However, I receive my rota in advance, so I’m happy to arrange regular childcare where possible. I’m available on my days off, as well as for pre-arranged evening and weekend babysitting. If we agree a schedule in advance, I’ll always do my best to provide consistent and reliable childcare.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £13.00 per hour
My rates start from £13 per hour for one child. Rates may vary depending on the number of children, additional needs, or late evenings. I’m happy to discuss a fair rate for regular or long-term arrangements.
