About Me
Hi! My name is Mae, I’m 23 years old and a qualified teacher living in Sevenoaks. I’m currently undertaking my Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education alongside working as a Nursery Practitioner. I have a passion for nurturing the holistic development of children and bringing fun, excitement and engagement to young people’s lives!
Alongside my busy professional life I am responsible for three (very fussy) cats so I am more than comfortable with pets in the home. My hobbies include photography and keeping fit with pilates and yoga classes when I can.
My Experience
I have had experience working with families for evening babysitting since I was 16 years old. Being a qualified teacher, I have worked with young children between the ages of 2-8 years old.
As a nursery practitioner, I am confident in supporting children’s development through play-based activities. I am skilled in personal care and emotional wellbeing so I always ensure to build positive relationships with the children (and parents!) to ensure everyone feels comfortable and safe.
I am DBS checked and am up-to-date with safeguarding training such as KCSIE 2025 as well as completing courses in Prevent, FGM and Makaton.
My Qualifications
BA (Hons) Primary Education with QTS specialising in the 3-7 pathway.
MA Early Childhood Education
