Amy
Nanny in Hornchurch
My Summary
About Me
Hi, my name is Amy and I have worked in a day nursery for the past four years, gaining valuable experience caring for children of different ages and supporting their development through play, learning, and daily routines. I am now looking to expand my career in childcare by becoming a full-time nanny, where I can provide more focused, one-to-one care within a family setting. I am ideally seeking a full-time Monday to Friday position, but I would also be happy with a part-time role of three to four days during the week. I am reliable, nurturing, and organised.
My Experience
I hold a Level 3 qualification in Childcare, which I achieved through attending college. Where I also completed two years of valuable placement experience. In my first year, I worked within a primary school setting in both the nursery and reception classes, supporting early learning and development. In my second year, I completed my placement in a day nursery, further developing my practical skills in caring for young children. For the past four years, I have been working in a day nursery that follows a forest school, hygge, and child-led curriculum, promoting exploration, creativity, and independence. During this time, I have worked with children aged 6 months to 4 years. I have progressed from a nursery practitioner to the room leader of the preschool room, taking on additional responsibilities such as planning, leading a team, and supporting children’s individual learning journeys.
My Qualifications
I hold a Level 3 qualification in Childcare and have continued to build on my knowledge through ongoing professional development. I am paediatric first aid trained, renewing my certification every two years to ensure my knowledge remains current and up to date. Over the past four years at the nursery, I have completed regular safeguarding training, giving me a strong understanding of child protection procedures and my responsibilities in keeping children safe. Through my role in a forest school setting, I have also gained valuable experience in outdoor learning and child-led exploration. In addition, I am fully DBS checked, providing reassurance that I am a safe and trustworthy childcare professional.
