About Me
We are a family of four: my husband and I, along with our two wonderful boys. Our eldest is three, soon to turn four, and our youngest is 14 months old. I am currently training as a student midwife, while my husband has recently started a new nine-to-five job. At present, our eldest attends nursery, where he is collected in the morning and returned home later in the day.
My Requirements
I am looking for a kind and reliable person to assist with my son’s care after his nursery sessions.
Details of Support Needed:
My son uses a buggy wheelchair as he cannot yet walk independently due to balance issues.
He can move around the house but is similar to a baby just learning to walk and falls quite frequently.
The council provides transportation for him,so they pick him up in the morning just after 8am and drop him off around 12:30pm it fluctuates. I need someone to collect him from downstairs, carry him up the stairs, and ensure he is safely settled.
He requires a PEG feed upon arrival. Please don’t be concerned; no prior experience is needed as a free training session with an enteral feeding nurse will be provided.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday at 08:10 am and 12:30pm
Support is only needed at time he gets picked up in the morning and he returns from nursery.
Additional Notes:
My son is not severely disabled. He was born very prematurely, which has delayed his mobility.
This role primarily involves safe handling, basic care, and PEG feeding after drop-off.
