About Me
I am a 4th year Marine Biology student at the University of Stirling. I love hiking, football, swimming and creative activities such as print-making and photography.
I currently work part time at Blairdrummond Safari Park and am seeking additional hours to help out a parent in need and become a fun, caring presence to their little ones.
My Experience
As a Wildlife watch leader with the Scottish Wildlife Trust, I have lots of experience with young children. Through these sessions I am confident in managing big emotions, making a connection to the children and navigating through any social situations between the children. I mainly took on this role as I find it so fulfilling to share my love for nature and the environment with young minds.
Through the training for this role I am capable of basic first aid, safeguarding processes, ensuring the emotional wellbeing of the children and administrative aspects such as data protection.
I previously have worked a number of other child facing roles, including at Blairdrummond Safari Park and as a Horse riding instructor. These roles included providing support to young people with additional support needs, adapting communication styles as needed and excellent organisation and presentation as a positive role model.
My Qualifications
I currently hold a PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups), training in safeguarding and a Bsc in Marine Biology.
