Hi, I'm Olive.
I'm a working mum to a one-year-old, and one of the founders of Happy Mondays.
Happy Mondays started with my own return to work. When my maternity leave ended, I found myself stuck between two options that both felt wrong: hand my little one over for full days before either of us was ready, or try to actually get things done with a baby on my lap (which, it turns out, is impossible). I kept thinking there had to be a third way. Somewhere I could do proper, focused work while my child was happy, settled and cared for just next door.
That place didn't exist in Birmingham. So we decided to build it.
Happy Mondays is a space where parents work while their children play and are looked after by qualified early years practitioners. Same building, same session, no goodbyes at the door. It's the place I wish I'd had when I went back to work, and I'm building it for families who feel exactly the way I did.

My Requirements
We're building something Birmingham hasn't had before: a space where parents can get on with their work while their children play, explore and are properly cared for right next door.
We're in our pilot phase now, running small, play-based sessions for children aged 0–4, and we're looking for early years practitioners to be part of it from the very start. To lead warm, curious, child-led play and help shape how this space feels for the children in it.
If you're the kind of practitioner who gets down on the floor, follows a child's lead, and genuinely lights up around this age group, I'd love to hear from you. Our pilot sessions are paid, run to a manageable fortnightly rhythm, and there's real room to grow with us as we do.
A relevant childcare qualification is preferred, and an enhanced DBS and paediatric first aid training would be highly desirable.
