School Morning Childcare / School Run Support – Long-Term Position
Starting 7th September 2026
We are looking for a reliable, trustworthy and caring individual to provide long-term morning childcare support for our son, who will be starting primary school in September 2026.
Both parents work in professions that involve shift work, early starts and long working days, within children’s services and construction. Due to our working patterns, we require someone who can support us specifically with morning school runs.
The role will involve arriving at our family home in the morning, taking responsibility for our son and transporting him safely to his school breakfast club. No afternoon school collection is required.
The days required will vary between Monday and Friday each week, depending on the primary carer’s work rota. Rotas are normally available up to four weeks in advance, allowing us to provide planned dates ahead of time. However, some flexibility would be appreciated as rotas can occasionally change due to the demands of the service.
We are ideally looking for someone who:
* Is reliable, punctual and comfortable with early mornings.
* Has experience caring for young children.
* Is appropriately vetted and DBS checked/cleared.
* Is able to provide references.
* Can safely transport our son to school/breakfast club.
* Understands that the required weekdays may vary from week to week.
* Is looking for a consistent, long-term arrangement and can become a familiar and trusted person for our son as he settles into school.
As this person will be responsible for our son during the morning and his journey to school, reliability and building a positive relationship with him are particularly important to us.
Start date: 7th September 2026
Days: Monday–Friday, variable according to rota
Requirement: Mornings only – home collection and drop-off at breakfast club
Duration: Long-term
