About Me
my name is Kath and my setting , little explorers Edwinstowe. Together we learn through play , curiosity, exploration and joyful discovery- in our welcoming home , large garden and in the wonderful world of forests farms and fabulous places around us . You are welcome to visit and see how our nurturing , caring approach , twice recognised as Outstanding by Ofsted , can meet your families needs.
My Experience
I have 25 years of childcare experience in various settings , originally training as a primary teacher. Moving into early years I started as a parent helper when my eldest child went to playgroup . Before Childminding I was a SENCO at a local playgroup - and have met lots of challenges as a parent over the years! I have experience of a range of special needs and offer a fully inclusive and diverse setting. I have experience of babies from the age of 5 weeks ( plus my own of course!) and especially enjoy working alongside parents to help them blossom into wonderful small people!
My Qualifications
I have trained to level 3 in childcare and education ,and first trained as a teacher over 20 years ago! , More recently I have taken lots of training courses including first aid , safeguarding children , special needs provision , signs and symbols , Language and numeracy courses , partnership with parents amongst others.
