About Me
Hi! We’re a warm, caring family looking for a reliable and kind nanny to support us while I work shifts.
I’m a working parent with a rotating schedule, and our childcare needs are structured around this. The role follows a rota of four shifts on, four shifts off, for a two-week period. During these two weeks, care will include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and required overnight sleepovers.
For the other two weeks of the month, my husband is home and childcare is not required.
Because of this setup, reliability, flexibility during working weeks, and clear communication are extremely important to us.
About the Boys
I have two lovely boys:
• Rex (5) – Rex is a bright, affectionate little boy who is currently on the autism pathway. You do not need to have experience with autism, although it may be helpful. Rex responds best to calm, patient adults who are happy to follow routines, give clear guidance, and understand that every day can look a little different.
• Freddie (9) – Freddie is independent, caring, and full of personality. He enjoys sports, gaming, and a wide range of other activities, and does well with someone who takes an interest in what he enjoys while maintaining clear, fair boundaries.
Both boys are loving and thrive with someone who is kind, confident, and consistent, and who genuinely enjoys spending time with children.
Pets
We are an animal-loving household and have one friendly dog and two cats, so our nanny must be comfortable around pets and happy in a home with animals.
What We’re Looking For
We’re hoping to find a nanny who is:
• Dependable and punctual
• Fully available during the two working weeks on a four-on, four-off rota
• Comfortable with required overnight sleepovers
• Confident managing mornings, evenings, and bedtime routines
• Patient, nurturing, and safety-focused
• Confident caring for two children of different ages
• Comfortable around pets
• Happy to help with light child-related tasks (meals, tidying play areas, bedtime prep)
Experience with shift-working families or additional needs is a bonus, but not essential — the right personality and approach matter most to us.
