About Me
My name is Lauren Cooper and I have been a qualified primary school teacher for the last 16 years. I am also a qualified swimming instructor. I have two young children (age 5 and 2 and a half) and I work part time in a Hertfordshire school currently as a Year 3 Class Teacher and I am the PE Lead for over 400 children. I have been tutoring for over 10 years across a range of year groups from Yr3 to Yr6.
My Experience
I have been a primary school teacher for the last 16 years at the same school in Hertfordshire. Teaching is not just my job but a passion of mine. I am approachable, kind and friendly who is able to draw upon my extensive experience to teach children in Maths and English. With consistent tutoring, a child's confidence can vastly improve in their own abilities. I am able to adapt my teaching methods to suit the needs of the individual. I have taught in EYFS (Reception only) Key Stage 1 (Years 1 and 2) and Key Stage 2 (Years 3 to 5). I have tutored many Year 6 children throughout my 10 years tutoring.
My Qualifications
I hold a BA (Hons) degree in Primary Education with QTS.
My Availability
Due to a Year 6 tutoring child leaving my services after 2 years preparing her for her SATs, I am available to tutor after school on a Monday from 4th May or a Tuesday from 5th May. I am also available on a Saturday morning. I am able to offer 1:1 tutoring in person, small groups or online tutoring.
My Fees
- Tutoring from £35.00 per hour
For most KS1 children, an hour is too long so please message me for a price for less than an hour.
