About Me
We are a family based in Walthamstow (E17) expecting a new baby in July/August 2026. We already have a 3-yo at home and are looking for a calm, experienced night nanny to help us through the newborn stage for a few months. We want our whole family to get the rest we need while knowing our baby is in safe, capable hands overnight.
My Requirements
The Role
This is a temporary, part-time position starting July/August 2026 for approximately 3-4 months.
Hours: 10pm – 6am (8 hours per night)
Nights: 2–3 nights per week (flexible on which nights between Sun-Thu, ideally alternate nights, to be agreed)

Nappy changes, settling and soothing
Monitoring baby’s wellbeing throughout the night
Keeping a brief handover note for parents each morning
Following any feeding or sleeping routines we establish together
You can rest in the single bed in baby's room when he is asleep and doesn't need care.

Genuine experience with newborns (0–3 months) in a professional capacity
Warm, calm and confident working independently overnight
Paediatric first aid certificate (current)
Enhanced DBS certificate (or willing to obtain one)

Good references from previous families
Nice to Have (Not Essential)

Familiarity with breastfeeding support
Formal childcare qualification (Level 2/3, MNT, NEST, or similar)
What We Offer
Agreed gross rate of per night for 8 hours, based on experience
A warm, welcoming family environment
