About Me
My setting offers a warm, home-from-home environment where children feel safe, valued, and supported to learn through play. As a mother to two young children — a little boy and girl — I understand the importance of nurturing care, routine, and creating a setting where children feel truly at home.
Having lived in the local area my whole life, I have strong knowledge of the community and regularly attend local playgroups, libraries, and farms to provide rich learning experiences. I also help to run a local stay and play group, which allows me to build strong connections within the community and support children’s social development. I hold a zoo membership and regularly visit museums, giving children the opportunity for regular educational visits where they can explore animals, nature, and the wider world.
My setting promotes curiosity, confidence, and emotional wellbeing through meaningful experiences both indoors and out.
My Experience
I have a wide range of experience working with children of different ages and stages. I have worked as a nanny and have taken on regular babysitting roles since leaving school, which has given me hands-on experience in providing safe, nurturing, and structured care. I also help run a local stay and play group, where I regularly interact with children, plan and set up engaging activities, and support their social and emotional development. In addition to my professional experience, I am a mother to two young children and have been involved in their care and development from birth. This has given me a strong understanding of children’s needs, routines, milestones, and the importance of creating a secure and loving environment where they can thrive.
