My Experience

Private tutor:

I achieved strong GCSE results, particularly in English, and I have also always performed well in Mathematics. Alongside my studies, I regularly support my younger brothers with their schoolwork. One of them is currently preparing for his SATs, so I help by printing practice papers and worksheets, marking his work, and going through any topics he finds difficult until he understands them.

Through this experience, I have developed patience, clear communication skills, and an ability to explain concepts in a way that is engaging and easy for younger children to understand. As a result, I am particularly confident in tutoring primary school students and supporting them with their learning in a positive and encouraging way.

Babysitting:

As the eldest daughter in my household and the eldest cousin in my family, I have naturally taken on a great deal of responsibility when it comes to caring for younger children. I have often been trusted to look after my younger brothers and baby cousins, who range in age from 2 to 11 years old, for extended periods of time while their parents are at work or attending to other responsibilities . Through this, I have developed strong skills in supervision, patience, and ensuring children are safe, comfortable, and engaged.

During primary school, I also held the role of a “Playground Buddy.” This involved Year 6 students supervising different playgrounds each day and supporting younger year groups during break times. As part of this role, I helped younger children feel included, resolved small disagreements, and ensured they were safe while playing.

In addition, I have experience dealing with minor accidents and basic health concerns, remaining calm and responsible when children need assistance or reassurance. These experiences have helped me build confidence in caring for children and maintaining a safe and supportive environment for them.

• Babysitting from £17.00 per hour
• Tutoring from £18.00 per hour
