About Me
Hello! My name is Faith, I am 21 years old and I am originally from South Africa :D I have been living in the UK since 2023 when i came to begin my studies in Environmental Science at the University of Sheffield. I have previously worked as a live in au pair and I am now currently looking for a babysitting job to do alongside my studies. I adore working with children and I find so much fulfilment in helping them learn about the world around them!
I am a bubbly person and I am good at keeping up with the excitement and ever changing interests of children. Though I am always kind I am also firm when needed and I am able to set and maintain positive and understandable boundaries. I am a creative person who can always be found doing some kind of artistic activity - and whether it be crafting, painting, dancing or singing I love getting to share the fun with the children I care for!
My Experience
In my home country, South Africa, I was a live-in au pair for a 1 month old baby and 2 year old toddler for 4 months and in the last year I held the same role for a family with twin 3 year old boys in London. I have experience with meal prepping, bathing, getting dressed and bedtime routines and I am also comfortable with things like bottle feeding, nappy changing, nap time routines, etc. for younger toddlers and babies. I am competent and efficient with regular household chores such as laundry, dishes, grocery shopping, disinfecting toys and maintaining an overall clean, organised environment. I am good at creating fun games to keep children entertained and engaged and I love playing with them and helping them discover new things about the world and themselves!
My Qualifications
I am DBS checked and have experience in caring for toddlers as well as new born babies. I am able and happy to provide references from past families I have cared for!
My Availability
I am available on weekdays before and after school and I am fully available on weekends!
