About Me
Hello! My name is Faith I am 21 years old and I am originally from South Africa :D I have been living in the UK for 2,5 years now and I am currently working as a weekday Au Pair during a gap year between my 2nd and 3rd years of university. I love working with children and I find so much fulfilment in helping them learn about the world around them! As I mentioned I am a working Au Pair, currently caring for two toddlers on weekdays, but I would like to start babysitting for other families on weekends as well.
I am a bubbly person and I am good at keeping up with the excitement and ever changing interests of small children. Though I am always kind I am also firm when needed and I am able to set and maintain positive and understandable boundaries for children. I am a really creative person and I love things like crafting, painting and dancing and I love sharing this with the children I care for!
My Experience
In my home country, South Africa, I was a full time au pair for a 1 month old baby and 2 year old toddler for 4 months and I am now working as an au pair on week days for twin 3 year olds here in London. I have experience with mealtime, bathing, getting dressed and bedtime routines for all of these ages and I am also comfortable with things like bottle feeding, nappy changing, nap time routines, etc. for younger toddlers and babies. I am competent and efficient with regular household chores such as laundry, dishes, grocery shopping, disinfecting toys and overall maintaining a clean, organised environment. I am good at creating fun games to keep children occupied and engaged and I love playing with them and helping them discover new things about the world and themselves!
My Qualifications
I am DBS checked and have experience in caring for toddlers as well as new born babies. I am able and happy to provide references from past families I have cared for!
My Availability
I am available on weekends for babysitting; Fridays I am open anytime after 10am and for Saturday to Sunday I am available at anytime! Under particular circumstances I can also be available on week nights after 8pm.
