My Requirements

This role is primarily to care for our baby before she begins nursery, while also helping around the edges with her older sister who already attends nursery.

We would absolutely welcome interest from experienced nannies. However, we’re equally open to people who bring strong life experience, common sense and reliability — even if they haven’t worked formally as a nanny.

Our wonderful nanny for our first daughter came to childcare later in life after a long career in marketing, and she was fantastic. Because of that, we’d be very happy to hear from people who may be:
• returning to work after a career break
• between roles and looking for a meaningful short-term position
• considering a change of career
• or simply someone experienced and sensible who enjoys being with babies.

We’re a relaxed and appreciative household and would love this to feel like a genuinely enjoyable short-term role.

Start date: Mid June / July
Duration: 3–4 months (fixed term)

Hours:
• Full-time — approximately 45–55 hours per week (to be agreed)

Pay: Competitive, depending on experience

The role includes:
• Primary care of our baby during the day
• Helping with our toddler around nursery times
• Keeping baby routines running smoothly (feeds, naps, play)
• Light child-related tasks such as simple meal prep and children’s laundry
• Keeping things calm, organised and tidy around the children

We’re looking for someone who is:
• Warm, sensible and dependable
• Organised and proactive
• Confident with babies and toddlers
• Happy to use initiative and good judgement

Paediatric first aid and a DBS check are helpful but not essential.
