About Me
I’m Madeline. I am an experienced nanny/babysitter and I am also trained as a paediatric speech and language therapist. I am relocating to London for a year, and I am looking for a great family to work with, providing childcare, tutoring and any other support needed.
With children, I encourage curiosity, problem-solving and creativity. I love active play and time outside, as well as art projects, listening to music and, especially, reading stories aloud. My strength is creating authentic connections with kids.
My Experience
I am a paediatric speech and language therapist (licensed in the US only), and I currently work with children ages 4-9, providing instruction and support for communication skills. In my current job, I am responsible for assessing speech and language skills, teaching basic early language concepts as well as vocabulary, grammar and syntax, and social communication skills. I play games and activities with kids that are engaging and encourage authentic communication. I love seeing them make progress and reach their goals.
Prior to this career, I held many nanny and babysitter jobs for children ranging from 6 months to 12 years old. I have experience doing school drop off/pick up, nap time, meals, homework, food prep, and laundry.
My Qualifications
First aid, CPR, Epi-Pen trained
Advanced degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders
