About Me
Hi, I'm Madeline. I'm an experienced nanny looking for a full-time nanny position with a great family.
I have spent years working with young children in both home and professional settings, supporting their development, communication, and confidence. My background as a speech and language therapist has given me a strong understanding of early childhood development, language acquisition, play-based learning, and how children build meaningful connections with the world around them.
With children, I encourage curiosity, problem-solving, creativity, and independence. I love active play and time outdoors, as well as art projects, music, imaginative games, and, especially, reading stories aloud. My greatest strength is creating authentic, trusting relationships with children.
My Experience
I am currently a paediatric speech and language therapist (licensed in the US only), and I work with children ages 4-9, providing instruction and support for communication skills. In my current job, I am responsible for assessing speech and language skills, teaching basic early language concepts as well as vocabulary, grammar and syntax, and social communication skills. I play games and activities with kids that are engaging and encourage authentic communication. I love seeing them make progress and reach their goals.
Prior to this career, I held many nanny and babysitter jobs for children ranging from 6 months to 12 years old. I have experience doing school drop off/pick up, nap time, meals, homework, food prep, and laundry.
My Qualifications
First aid, CPR, Epi-Pen trained
Advanced degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders
