I’m a friendly mum to a bright, funny 9-year-old autistic boy who is home educated. We value time in nature, gentle routines and encouraging healthy, nurturing activities. We’re looking for a kind, calm nanny with SEN understanding to support us a few hours each week and feel like a positive part of our little team.
My Requirements
I am looking for a nanny with SEN experience for my 9-year-old autistic son who is home educated.
This would be 3 short sessions per week (approx. 2 hours each) while I attend nearby appointments. Preferred days are Tuesday and Friday at the same time each week, plus one flexible day (ideally Wednesday).
Duties are simply to supervise, entertain and care for him — for example playing at home, going for a short walk, or visiting a nearby café. A calm, patient and understanding approach is essential.
Role is mainly supervising, playing, short walks or a café trip, or staying with him at home while I’m out. He also has a tutor, so it’s mostly keeping him company and ensuring he’s safe and happy.
It’s not essential but occasional Saturday evenings would be appreciated too.
