My Experience
I have 3 years of experience working as a nursery nurse, caring for children from babies through to preschool age. In this role, I supported children’s daily routines including feeding, nappy changing, toileting, nap times, and preparing simple meals and snacks. I also planned and supervised a range of fun and educational activities such as arts and crafts, outdoor play, story time, and early learning games to support children’s development.
Working in a nursery helped me develop strong skills in understanding children’s individual needs, managing different age groups, and creating a safe and nurturing environment. I am confident in keeping children engaged, handling challenging behaviour calmly, and ensuring children feel comfortable, happy, and well cared for.

While working in a nursery, I have also completed a variety of **additional online training courses** to further develop my knowledge and skills. These courses covered areas such as safeguarding, child protection, health and safety, supporting children’s development, and promoting positive behaviour.
This training, combined with my hands-on nursery experience, has helped me build the confidence and knowledge needed to provide safe, reliable, and nurturing care for children.
