About Me

I’m a mum currently preparing for a big, exciting shift in our family life. At the end of this school year, my daughter, aged 6 will be leaving the traditional classroom behind to start her home education adventure. We’ve realized that the standard system isn’t the best fit for her unique sparkle, and we’re looking for a special person to help her rediscover her love for learning.

My daughter has a bright & funny character who enjoys a variety of different things. She loves music (huge Swiftie!), dancing, all types of arts and crafts & cooking. When you capture her focus she puts her heart and soul into the task if it’s creative and not “boring” She loves a story (her favourite is currently The Day The Crayons Quit!) and has struggled massively with phonics (to be completely honest, I struggle too) but has worked hard at this and has made improvements & working toward Oxford Orange band books.

We suspect she has ADHD & a referral for a diagnosis has been put in place. The biggest hurdle for her is transitions. She hates being pulled from one task to another, especially if she’s in the zone, this can often lead to meltdowns and refusal. I’m looking for a tutor who gets neurodiversity & has a complete understanding that every child learns differently.
