Deborah
Babysitter in London
My Summary
About Me
I am a qualified primary school teacher with a genuine passion for supporting children’s development, wellbeing and confidence. I am a calm, nurturing and responsible caregiver who values creating safe, structured and positive environments where children can thrive.
Through my work in education and childcare, I have developed a strong understanding of how children learn, grow and express themselves. I enjoy supporting children’s curiosity through play, creativity, reading and conversation while also helping them develop independence and good routines.
I believe in building warm, trusting relationships with both children and parents, ensuring that families feel confident their child is safe, supported and encouraged every day.
My Experience
I have several years of experience working with children in both education and childcare settings, supporting children from early years through to primary age.
I am currently working as a Key Stage 1 classroom teacher, where I support children academically, socially and emotionally. My role includes teaching phonics, supporting children’s behaviour and emotional regulation, and working closely with parents to ensure children receive the support they need.
Previously, I have taught in Reception, Year 3, Year 5 and Year 6, which has given me a strong understanding of child development across different ages. I regularly support children with a wide range of needs, including those with ASD, ADHD and additional learning needs, adapting my approach to suit each child.
Before becoming a teacher, I worked as a Level 3 SEN Teaching Assistant, supporting children with complex needs and delivering small group learning sessions. I also worked as a Youth Support Worker, organising engaging activities and providing one-to-one support for young people.
These experiences have helped me develop patience, creativity and strong behaviour support skills, allowing me to create positive and supportive environments for children.
