Wellmama
Maternity Nurse in London
My Summary
About Me
Hi I’m Yasmeen a Registered Midwife and Health Visitor with over 10 years’ experience supporting families through pregnancy, birth, the newborn period, and early childhood.
I specialise in providing calm, confident, evidence - informed care as a maternity nurse and night nanny, helping parents feel rested, supported, and truly held during those early weeks.
My approach is gentle, responsive, and rooted in clinical expertise.
I support families with newborn care, feeding (breast, bottle, combination), settling techniques, safe sleep guidance, establishing healthy night-time rhythms, and understanding infant cues. Whether you need overnight support, short-term help, or continuity through the fourth trimester, I bring a nurturing, non-judgemental presence into your home.
I have extensive experience with premature babies, multiples, high-risk pregnancies, and emotionally vulnerable journeys. I also support parents navigating postnatal recovery, maternal wellbeing, and early bonding.
My goal is simple: to help you feel rested, confident, and supported so you can enjoy your baby and find your rhythm as a family.
My Experience
I work across the public and private sector supporting families across community services with a wide variety of private clients. I offer both standard and bespoke professional packages tailored to each family’s unique needs. My work includes newborn care, feeding support (breast, bottle, and combination), safe sleep guidance, night-nanny support, and help with understanding infant cues, settling, and early rhythms. I also support secure attachment, healthy brain development, and reaching developmental milestones, as well as providing guidance around reflux, colic, and maternal wellbeing check-ins. My approach is calm, nurturing, and evidence-informed, ensuring families feel confident, rested, and supported throughout the fourth trimester and beyond.
My Qualifications
I have extensive training across maternity, newborn, and early-years care. My qualifications include Brazelton Newborn Behavioural Observation training, MESCH (Maternal Early Childhood Sustained Home-visiting), BFI-accredited breastfeeding training, Newborn Life Support, First Aid, and Basic Life Support.
I am fully trained in safeguarding, perinatal mental health, and have supported families through TTC journeys, IVF, and pregnancy loss with sensitivity and compassion.
My clinical background in midwifery and health visiting underpins all of my practice, ensuring safe, evidence-informed, and holistic care for every family I work with.
