About Me
I'm caring, reliable, and friendly, with a genuine passion and experience in supporting children's growth and development in a safe, nurturing, and fun environment.
As a mum to three boys, including two older children aged 9 and 13, I have years of hands-on parenting experience and understand the importance of providing children with a loving, secure, and stimulating environment. I enjoy encouraging learning through play, outdoor adventures, creative activities, and helping children build confidence and independence at their own pace.
I believe every child is unique and deserves to feel valued, supported, and happy. I aim to work closely with families to provide consistent, high-quality care and maintain open communication to ensure each child's individual needs are met.
I wish to create a welcoming "home away from home" where children feel safe, cared for, and excited to learn and explore every day.
My Experience
I have over seven years of experience working in a junior school, where I have supported children both as a 1:1 SEN Learning Support Assistant and as a classroom Learning Support Assistant. These roles have given me valuable experience in supporting children with a wide range of learning needs, helping them to build confidence, achieve their goals, and reach their full potential.
Before this, I completed my Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification, gaining practical experience through placements in both a nursery and a Reception class. This provided me with a strong understanding of early childhood development and the importance of learning through play.
I also worked as a Teaching Assistant in a specialist centre within a mainstream infant school, supporting children with social communication difficulties. This role further developed my skills in providing tailored support, promoting positive relationships, and creating an inclusive environment where every child can thrive.
Alongside my professional experience, I am also a mum to three boys, giving me a wealth of hands-on experience in caring for and supporting children of different ages and stages of development. My combined personal and professional experience allows me to provide nurturing, high-quality care that meets the individual needs of every child.
My Qualifications
I have completed the following qualifications and training to ensure I provide safe, high-quality childcare:
CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator)
NCFE CACHE Level 3 Award in Preparing to Work in Home-Based Childcare
Paediatric First Aid
Safeguarding for Designated Safeguarding Leads
Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene for Early Years Settings
I am committed to keeping my knowledge and skills up to date through ongoing professional development, ensuring I provide the highest standard of care in a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment.
My Availability
My standard childcare hours are:
Monday: 7:30am – 5:30pm
Thursday: 7:30am – 5:30pm
I also offer school drop-offs Monday to Friday.
However I understand that every family's needs are different, so I am happy to be flexible where possible. If you require care outside of my usual hours or have specific childcare requirements, please get in touch and I'll do my best to accommodate you.
