About the family and children

Jasmine and Douglas are expecting their first child (a baby boy) in June 2026.

The family home is in East Sheen, Richmond, between the River Thames and Richmond Park, with local amenities and good public transport links (20-minute train to London Waterloo)

Expectations and duties

Monday to Friday, 5 days. 8 am to 6 pm, 50 hours. A mixture of shared care and sole charge at £14 gross per hour: £35,420 gross per annum, based on the assumption of working 50 hours per week. The job includes 28 days' holiday (including bank holidays) and accommodation, as described below in SW14.

Experience with newborns is essential.

The family are looking for a nanny: who has the following traits and who will carry out specific nursery duties as follows -

Trustworthiness and Reliability, characterised by honesty, dependability, punctuality and a respect for family rules, privacy and routines.

A Genuine Love for children, someone who enjoys spending time with them, is patient, warm and emotionally responsive.

Strong Communication Skills, a nanny who can communicate clearly with children at their level, while keeping parents informed about daily activities, concerns and progress.

Patience and Emotional Control, adept at handling tantrums, stress and challenges in a calm manner. Models positive behaviour and effective problem-solving techniques.

Safety Awareness, possessing an understanding of child safety and basic first aid, always attentive and proactive in preventing accidents.

Experience and Child Development Knowledge, knowledgeable about age-appropriate activities and milestones, supporting learning, social skills and emotional growth.

Adaptability and Problem-Solving, capable of adjusting to changing schedules or children's needs, thinking quickly and responsibly in unexpected situations.

Creativity and Engagement, skilled in planning fun, educational activities that encourage curiosity, play and imagination.

Discipline with Kindness, establishes clear boundaries without harshness, employing positive reinforcement and consistency.

Professionalism, respects parents' parenting styles while maintaining confidentiality and a positive attitude.

The ability to carry out baby-related household tasks such as baby laundry, baby-related preparation, cleaning and cooking.

The family have a pet dog.
