My Experience

I am a teacher of 32 years. I have been a class teacher for some of my teaching career and an art teacher, as well as the Head of Art at a leading prep school. I have been responsible for planning and delivering comprehensive schemes of work that are both structured and inspiring. I ensure that lessons are well-organised, progressive, and accessible to all students, while also allowing space for creativity and individuality. I am committed to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning, and I place strong emphasis on developing students's knowledge, alongside their ability to think creatively and independently.
As a an art tutor I have been supporting and challenging more able students with their scholarship work, helping them to build strong portfolios and develop the confidence needed to succeed in competitive entry processes. As an SEN tutor I am a patient and nurturing teacher.
I am a well-organised teacher with a good sense of humour, and I believe these qualities help to create a positive and productive atmosphere. I enjoy building strong relationships with students and take pride in motivating and enthusing them to engage fully with their work.

My Qualifications

I have a BA Hons in fashion and textiles from Ravensbourne college of design and communication and a PGCE in education from the Froebel institute, Roehampton university.

My Availability

I am available during the day and up to 6pm in the evening on week days and saturday mornings.
