Hello! My name is Hope Cantrill. I’m a friendly, reliable and caring person who genuinely enjoys spending time with children and helping them learn, play and feel safe.

My Experience
Although I have not worked professionally in childcare, I have plenty of hands-on experience caring for children through my large family. I have regularly babysat for relatives, looking after children of different ages, which has helped me develop patience, creativity and confidence when caring for young people.
Alongside this, I am a qualified Nursing Associate with training across all four fields of nursing. As part of my healthcare experience, I have spent time working on a children’s surgical ward, where I supported the care of young patients and their families. This has given me valuable experience communicating with children, helping them feel comfortable, and supporting them in a calm and reassuring way.
My background in healthcare means I am very aware of safety, wellbeing and responsibility. I aim to create a safe, supportive and positive environment where children feel happy and well cared for.
My Qualifications
I am a qualified Nursing Associate with training across all four fields of nursing: adult, children’s, mental health and learning disabilities. This training has given me a strong understanding of health, safety, communication and compassionate care.
As part of my role, I have gained experience supporting patients in different healthcare settings, including time spent on a children’s surgical ward. This helped me develop skills in communicating with children and families, providing reassurance, and creating a calm and supportive environment.
Alongside this, I hold GCSE qualifications, an NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Advisory, and two A-Levels in Psychology and Sociology. These qualifications have helped me develop strong communication skills and a good understanding of people’s needs and wellbeing.
I am also fully DBS checked, giving parents peace of mind that their children are in safe and trustworthy hands. My healthcare background has helped me build patience, responsibility and a caring approach that I bring into childcare.

- Babysitting from £13.50 per hour
My standard rate is £13.50 per hour.
This may vary slightly depending on the number of children, location, and the hours required (for example evenings or late nights). Please feel free to message me to discuss your needs and I will always try to be as flexible as possible.
