About Me

I am a primary school teacher currently working in Battersea, and I am looking for a nurturing and experienced childminder in the Deptford/Surrey Quays area or near my workplace.

I will be returning to work when my son turns one next January, so I am keen to find someone who can provide a warm, stimulating, and supportive environment for him. As an educator myself, I really value early childhood development and would love a setting that promotes outdoor learning—ideally with access to a garden and regular visits to local parks as part of a group of children.

It is important to me that the childminder supports the development of communication and language, fine motor skills, and social and emotional growth through engaging, age-appropriate activities. I would especially appreciate someone who speaks an additional language, with Spanish being a lovely bonus.

I am looking for someone experienced, who has adapted over time as early years practices and the needs of children and families have evolved. Strong communication with parents is very important to me, so I would love a childminder who uses a parent portal or similar platform to share regular updates and photos of the children’s day-to-day experiences.

Above all, I am hoping to find someone caring, reliable, and passionate about supporting children to thrive.

My Requirements

Registered Childminder
Nursery
Cleaner

I am looking for a full-time childminding placement for my son starting from January, when he will be 1 year old. My working hours are aligned with the school day, so I will typically require care during weekdays, within standard school hours (with some flexibility for drop-off and pick-up times if needed).

I am ideally looking for a setting in Deptford, Surrey Quays, or near Battersea (where I work), to make commuting manageable.

My preference is for a childminder who provides a structured but nurturing environment, with a strong focus on early years development. This includes opportunities for outdoor play (daily access to a garden and regular park visits), as well as activities that support communication and language development, fine motor skills, and social and emotional growth.

I would like my son to be in a small, mixed-age group where he can socialise and learn alongside other children. It is important to me that the childminder follows good hygiene practices, maintains a safe environment, and provides healthy meals/snacks (if applicable).

Clear and consistent communication is very important, so I would appreciate regular updates on my son’s day, ideally through a parent app or daily feedback, including photos and observations of his development.

Overall, I am looking for a reliable, experienced, and caring childminder who can provide a home-from-home environment where my son feels secure, happy, and supported to thrive.
