Claire
Nanny in London
My Summary
About Me
I strongly believe that children need to be recognised for what they are - young people learning to navigate the wondrous world around them. In order for them to grow into successful members of the community they require an understanding of boundaries, of their own worth, and of the wealth of the world around them. I enjoy playing the ukulele and love to sing. I also enjoy other creative hobbies such as writing, baking, sewing and TTRPG. I greatly enjoy the outdoors for hiking, swimming and camping.
My Experience
I worked as a teacher for 8 years in both Australia and the UK, before nannying for the same family since 2018. I taught in primary schools as a classroom teacher and a supply teacher, and was specifically hired to work with students with behavioural issues. I have cared for the family's two children from the ages of 2 and 4 while also helping to maintain the household by the way of cooking dinners, undertaking laundry tasks, rotating toys and games, creating engaging activities, assisting with homework and schoolwork, organising playdates, supporting club participation, baking, planning and preparing costumes, assisting with pocket money and child financial learning, assisting with school trips and activities, encouraging child engagement in caring for their home, and assisting with parent errands. I have undertaken further studies in the form of professional development and short courses to ensure that my skills and knowledge stay up to date.
My Qualifications
I have a Bachelor of Education from Murdoch University in Western Australia.
I have undertaken professional development and short courses that cover childhood nutrition, behaviour management, special needs adaptations, and child and youth mental health. I'm also currently studying a Level 5 Diploma in Parent Coaching Practice.
My Availability
I am available for work 5 days a week, and am flexible on which days my employer would like them to be. My only preference is to have two days off together.
My Fees
- Nannying from £20.00 per hour (gross)
I work for a minimum of £20/h, with negotiation for overnights and overtime.
