About Me

I am a registered foster carer with a local authority and have over 5 years experience caring for young children from initial placement through to adoption and beyond.

I enjoy being outdoors and providing children with opportunities to learn and develop whilst hopefully helping them with good routines, family boundaries and learning opportunities.

In addition to caring for children I am able to carry out most household tasks including cleaning, washing and I am a pretty decent cook. I am also a responsibly experienced DIYer and can also turn my hand to gardening, mowing lawns, cleaning patios, painting fences etc.

My Experience

I have been a Foster carer for over 5 years and have seen 3 main placements through to adoption. I am still involved with each of the children we have cared for who have gone on to be adopted showing I have a long term approach to the children I have cared for.

My Qualifications

I am registered local authority foster carer which means I have passed all training requirements and checks. Through the authority I am first aid trained and hold the relevant DBS approvals.
